Management Team
Dr. Fatemeh Shirazi, President/CEO & Chairperson
Prior to founding Microvi Biotech, Dr. Shirazi served for 10 years in a variety of research & development and management positions with A&E firms. She has over 19 years of experience as an environmental and chemical engineer and is an expert in biotechnology and cleantech. Her research has led to a ground-breaking portfolio of intellectual property, including patents, materials, and process trade secrets. Dr. Shirazi has been the principal investigator of several federally-backed research projects and has served multiple times as a technical committee reviewer at the National Institute of Health and Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Shirazi leads the company to capitalize on novel solutions for unmet needs in the cleantech industry.
Mark Stephenson, Chief Operating Officer
A senior water industry veteran, Mr. Stephenson has over 25 years of experience in water treatment, water quality and testing, and measurement in the drinking water, wastewater, and industrial water markets. He previously served as the CEO for several water technology companies as well as the vice president of sales and marketing for the industry leader in analytical testing, Hach Company. He has led various startup companies through funding stages with venture groups and outside investors and brings the company extensive international experience in sales, marketing, manufacturing, and business development.
Dr. Joseph Salanitro, VP of Research & Development
A world-renowned expert, Dr. Salanitro has more than 31 years of experience in various fields of biotechnology, water, and wastewater treatment systems. In addition, Dr. Salanitro is the inventor or co-inventor of 10 patents and has over 100 technical publications.
David Kramer, Financial Management
Having graduated from Yale University with an MBA from Harvard University, Mr. Kramer has over 25 years of experience in public and private companies and in leading financial operations during periods of both rapid growth and cash constraints. Mr. Kramer offers Microvi Biotech expertise in managing financial aspects of the company.

C. Robert Kidder, Board of Directors
With over 40 years of experience, Mr. Kidder currently serves on the boards of Morgan Stanley, where he is the lead director, and Schering-Plough Corporation. He previously served as the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both Duracell International Inc. and Borden Chemical Inc. During his tenure with McKinsey and Company Inc., Mr. Kidder worked with a major OEM client in the automotive industry. He is currently the chairman of Chrysler Group LLC.
Michael Dimitriou, Board of Directors
Mr. Dimitriou is a nationally-respected water technology and water
quality professional with over 30 years of experience in water and
wastewater treatment. Mr. Dimitriou has provided
process treatment advice to municipal and industrial clients in the
US, Europe and Asia. He is a past Director of Water Technology for
ITT Corporation as well as Degremont
North America. He
is currently the Vice President of Jacobs
Engineering Inc.
Perry Solomon, Board of Directors
Mr. Solomon is currently an Executive-in-Residence at Battery
Ventures. He brings 20 years of experience as a successful CEO of private
equity-supported ventures. He most recently served as CEO of Legalink/Wordwave, a global litigation support company focused on
court reporting, trial presentation and captioning. Under his
leadership, the company successfully integrated 26 acquisitions and
was acquired by Merrill Communications. Mr. Solomon also spent 10
years at Fidelity Capital, the venture arm of Fidelity Investments.
During his tenure there, he was CEO of Boston Coach and founded HR
Logic, an HR BPO company.
