Dr. Fatemeh Shirazi, Founder & President
Prior to founding Microvi Biotech, Dr. Shirazi served for 10 years in a variety of research & development and management positions with A&E firms. She has over 16 years of experience as an environmental and chemical engineer and is an expert in biotechnology and cleantech. Her research has led to a ground-breaking portfolio of intellectual property, including patents, materials, and process trade secrets. Dr. Shirazi has been the principal investigator of several federally-backed research projects and has served multiple times as a technical committee reviewer at the National Institute of Health and Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Shirazi leads the company to capitalize on novel solutions for unmet needs in the water industry.
Dr. Joseph Salanitro, Research & Development
A world-renowned expert, Dr. Salanitro has more than 31 years of experience in various fields of biotechnology, water, and wastewater treatment systems. In addition, Dr. Salanitro is the inventor or co-inventor of 10 patents and has over 100 technical publications.
Mr. David Kramer, Financial Management
Having graduated from Yale University with an MBA from Harvard University, Mr. Kramer has over 25 years of experience in public and private companies and in leading financial operations during periods of both rapid growth and cash constraints. Mr. Kramer offers Microvi Biotech expertise in managing financial aspects of the company.
Dr. Farhad Dorri, Engineering
Dr. Dorri has over 16 years of hands-on experience in engineering, research, product development, nanotechnologies, instrumentation, and process design. At Microvi Biotech, Dr. Dorri provides expertise in the design, scale-up, and engineering components of Microvi Biotech’s various technologies.
Mr. Michael Dimitriou, Water Expert
Mr. Dimitriou has over 27 years of successful track records in developing and growing businesses with a focus on new technologies for the water industry. Mr. Dimitriou currently serves as a vice-president in Jacobs Carter Burgess and helps Microvi position its technologies in the water market.
Mr. Christoph Lueneburger, Equity & Water Investment Expert
Mr. Lueneburger is a human capital and strategy consultant with Egon Zehnder International in New York City. His experience includes leading water investment for a cleantech-centric private equity house as well as being a managing partner of a quant hedge fund.
Dr. Timothy Davies, Biotechnology Expert
Dr. Davies is the Director of the Bioexpression Facility at the University of Georgia. Dr. Davies offers Microvi Biotech exceptional experience in the areas of microbiology, molecular biology, and biotechnology.
Mr. Melvin White, General Counsel and Legal Expert
Mr. White is a senior litigation partner at McDermott Will & Emory in Washington D.C. and currently serves as the President of the D.C. Bar Association. Mr. White provides Microvi Biotech with legal counsel in various areas, including Intellectual Property protection.
Mr. Wil Jacques, IP & Technology Commercialization Expert
Mr. Jacques, is a Managing Partner at IP Finance, LLC, and has more than 20 years experience in licensing, technology commercialization, sales, and marketing with government, industrial, consumer, and private sector groups.
Dr. Fesseha Weldu, Groundwater Hydraulics Expert
Dr. Weldu, a registered Professional Engineer, currently owns and manages a consulting & engineering firm dealing with the design and construction of water supply and sanitation systems. He offers Microvi Biotech valuable experience in groundwater treatment technologies.
